You’re Beautiful: Ep 15 The Real Go Minam Is Back

I enjoyed this episode. Finally, a glimpse of the real Go Minam – cool, handsome, charisma. I wish there was more though since I loved the little that I saw. I know he is not the highlight of this episde but it’s my favorite moment of episode 15. Great job, Park Shinhye!
In this episode, I am frustrated with Hwang Taekyung. I don’t find it cute at all that he’s only focused on his own pain. If he stop thinking about himself for a second, he should realize that Mi nyeo is just as hurt (or even more so since she didn’t have neither of her parents growing up!) as he is. I’m glad at Mi nyeo’s decision to use the trip to Japan (for autograph signing day) as her last time with A.N.Jell too. No need to be where you are not wanted.
And finally, Shinwoo tells Mi nyeo that he knew she is a girl ever since the day at the rooftop. Ummm…it’s kinda too late, Shinwoo. I wonder though, if he had said let his feelings known sooner, would it actually make a difference? Shinwoo knew Taekyung was watching him and Minam so he swirled her around to hug her tight, making Taekyung very angry from jealousy. Normally, I’d hate whoever does this scene in a typical Kdrama. I don’t feel like that at all about Shinwoo, I think Taekyung deserved this. He needs to be reminded that Mi nyeo is not going to be waiting on him all the time.
The dialogue between Mi nyeo and Taekyung by the aquarium is HEAVY and AWESOME. I love the Go Mi nyeo here. She has grown some backbone and spoke for herself. It’s about time Taekyung learn that the world does not only revolve around him. She is just as helpless as he is about their parents’ situation.

Mi-nyeo: “Yes, because of this song, my mother was abandoned. You were also abandoned by your mother, so you must been very hurt. But my mother also felt such a huge pain that she gave birth to me alone and died. ‘Go make friends?’ How could I make friends with your mother? Are you so busy thinking only of yourself that you cannot bother to see anything else? I’m sorry that I knew about your mother and didn’t say anything. You looked so sad that I could not let on that I knew. I’m sorry that I knew you were remaking my father’s song and didn’t say anything. I did not know the story behind it. You told me not to show myself to you. But it’s hard for me to see you, too. That’s why I’m going far away, where I won’t be seen. So there will be no reason for us to feel pain as we see each other any longer.”

Mo Hwaran’s delusional days has finally come to an end. To me, it does not really matter whether she was the one Mi nyeo’s father loved or whether it was Mi nyeo’s mother. Fact is, whatever happened with the older generation is their business. Why would you hold it against her, Taekyung? You’re dumping all your frustrations on the one person who truly loves you. That’s just not acceptable. That’s why in this episode, I actually wished Mi nyeo would give consider Shinwoo, instead of you!! *I think it’s worth to note that the actress who played Hwaran is a really good actress. Watch how without saying anything her expression changed from excitement to guilt then painful embarrassment. Impressive.
Meanwhile, the real Go Minam meets the others at the airport while M Nyeo stays in Japan. Reporter Kim looked like he was about to lose his mind when his grand plan of blowing up Minam’s cover blew up on his own face. LoL. The twins were successfully switched!
When the smoke is finally clear, Taekyung humbly apologizes to Mi nyeo. It’s heartbreaking seeing them cry. Two people in love that needs time to heal the pain that neither can ease at the moment. I think this scene is very well done. It’s bittersweet moment. I love how their clothes match .
